What is Freemasonry?
Freemasonry is the oldest fraternity in existence. It
is made up of like-minded individuals dedicated to Brotherly Love, Truth and Relief.
Our goal is simply to “make good men better.” As an organization,
we are heavily involved in charity, as well as our local community. We have a rich and interesting history of tradition. Many famous Masons have been involved in the progress of mankind as well as the development
of our country and others. The full answer to this question would require a library
of books.
Many good books have been written on the history and origins of Freemasonry and as this site
evolves we will post some recommendations for you.
How do I Become a Member?
Membership in a Masonic lodge has very few requirements.
Membership is open to any man age 18 or older who believe in a Supreme Being, and who has good personal and ethical
standards.
Masons do not recruit and therefore will not ask you to join a lodge. We will talk to you about the lodge, the history of freemasonry,
and what is planned for the stated meeting dinner when asked, however, we will never ask you to join. To become a member, one must ask – It is as simple as that.
If you are interested in getting more information, feel free to attend one of our stated meeting
dinners. We meet the first Wednesday of the month at the lodge. Show up at 6:30pm, enjoy dinner and talk to some of the officers and brethren. If you would like to contact us via email, you can send questions to Gramata@hb380.com
Our Location
The Lodge is located at 601 Palm Avenue on the corner of Lake
and Palm in Downtown Huntington Beach.
