On December 9th, 2009, Gary Klehm was Raised to the Sublime Degree of Master Mason. Senior Warden Craig Reade presided.

The lodge also had a visitor from the United Kingdom that evening, who presented the Lodge with Fraternal Greetings certificates from Royal Marines Plymouth Lodge No. 9528 and Victory Lodge No. 4189.

On October 28th, 2009, the Lodge held its annual Firefighters Appreciation Night. Captain John Simpson was honored that evening for his volunteer work. Retiring Fire Chief Duane Olson was also honored for his service.

The Past Master’s Symbol

The Past Master’s Symbol

The Past Master’s Symbol is a often seen but not so frequently explained Masonic Symbol. It commonly consists of The Compass, Sun, and Quadrant (or Protractor), and in many jurisdictions a Square. In California, the Past Master’s Symbol is just the Compass, Sun, and Quadrant. Adding the Square makes it the symbol of the Grand Master.

The lodge hosted its 74th Annual Deep Pit Barbeque at Lake Park on Sunday, August 2nd, 2009. That year, the Junior Warden in charge of the event was Wayne Caverly.

Hiram Award Presentation to Jim Innis

On May 16th, 2009, the Lodge presented Brother Jim Innis with the prestigious Hiram Award. Of particular note in his Masonic Career, Brother Innis was the Lodge’s unofficial photographer, taking a large number of the photos found on this website.
